. In
this Special Report for our Annual General Meeting of
Queensland Hospital Radio Incorporated, I would like to thank
all Members and Friends for the Support you have given me when
disappointments arose brought about by the many broken promises
that had to be risen above ... And at the times when
receiving those many Business and Government replies, from Bank;
Communication Authorities, etcs., some of which concluded
with the words - quote "We regret We Are Unable To Assist
You." (All
Replies And Notes On Non-Replies Are Kept On Files ... Correspondence
Containing Appeals For Assistance; Seeking Consideration For Grants
And Personal Interviews Being Made More Than Once).
It would be ungracious to name names
and say what kinds of promises have been made, then rescinded,
since receiving our Licence to Broadcast on the 1611AM Band.
I know many are very aware that there have been times
when the going has been extremely difficult, the most stressful
being after the deaths of two of the closest family members.
Your words, at those times, were very comforting and
gave me strength to continue, and, after awhile, take up the reins
and proceed to address Government officials and others on behalf of
Queensland Hospital Radio.
The continuing costs, like postage, telephone bills,
licence etcs., have burrowed deeply, but as this Project has always
been, to me, a kind of Labour Of Love, I have no complaint to make.
I feel that, at this point, I have made most of the
people in positions of power who Could help, - for example -
The Heads of the Three Tiers of Governments in
Australia, the Prime Minister of Australia, the
Premier of the State of Queensland and Lord
Mayors of the City of Brisbane - and not forgetting Some Media and Hospitals -
aware of how to help get this Community Radio
Station on air.

and production, and I take Full Responsibility for their

Radio Is Now In Need Of NEW, Preferably
Lease-Free Premises From Which To Actively Commence
Broadcasting ... The Reason Is Contained In The Lessor's Letter Dated
2nd March 2007 Which States: " ... It Is My Understanding That
your Association's Activities Are NOT Currently Operational.
If that Is The Case, Please Make Arrangements To VACATE The Lanham
Park Premises By Saturday, 31st March 2007."

The Valuable Donations
Of Furniture; Tapes; Records; Equipment Etcs, Were Stored In A
Local Warehouse Which, On September 2007, Was Destroyed
By Fire. HELP IS NEEDED.

I am also appreciative and publicly thank Queensland
Hospital Radio's Auditor who, every year, gives freely of his time and expertise.
To bring this Community Radio Station into being, and
so fulfill its Philosophy and Aims to provide Both Entertainment
And Information for All, from Children to Teenagers to Adults and
our Valuable Elderly whether they are ill or healthy, in hospital
or at home or any place else, Different kinds of Assistance are
necessary And will be gratefully received and publicly acknowledged.
Our intention to continue with the promise to remain
Non-Political, Totally Voluntary and Not For Profit still stands
strong.
It goes without saying that I remain as enthusiastic
now, as I was at the beginning and I intend to continue with this
important Project, but am mindful that success will be attained
only with your help and the Vital Assistance of many Others who see
the merit in what we are trying to bring about.
Once again, I sincerely say Thank You to Everyone.
